ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் அவனுடைய சந்ததிக்கும் வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் பண்ணப்பட்டன; சந்ததிகளுக்கு என்று அநேகரைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லாமல், உன் சந்ததிக்கு என்று ஒருவனைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார், அந்தச் சந்ததி கிறிஸ்துவே.

ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் அவனது சந்ததிக்கும் தேவன் ஒரு வாக்குத்தத்தம் கொடுத்திருந்தார். அவர் “உன் சந்ததிகளுக்கு” என்று பன்மையில் சொல்லாமல் “உன் சந்ததிக்கு” என்று ஒருமையில் சொல்லி இருக்கிறார். எனவே இது கிறிஸ்துவையே குறிக்கும்.
