பின்பு அவன் அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் பெயர்ந்து, பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் மலைக்குப் போய், பெத்தேல் தனக்கு மேற்காகவும் ஆயீ கிழக்காகவும் இருக்கக் கூடாரம் போட்டு, அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டான்.

பின்பு அவன் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டு பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் மலைக்குப் போய், பெத்தேல் தனக்கு மேற்காகவும் ஆயீ கிழக்காகவும் இருக்கக் கூடாரம்போட்டு, அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டான்.

பின் ஆபிராம் அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் மலைக்குப் போனான். அங்கு அவன் கூடாரம் போட்டான். பெத்தேல் நகரம் மேற்காக இருந்தது. ஆயீ நகரம் அதற்குக் கிழக்கே இருந்தது. அங்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கர்த்தருக்கு அமைத்து கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொண்டான்.

ஆபிராம் அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருந்த மலைப்பக்கம் சென்று பெத்தேலுக்கு மேற்கே ஆயிக்குக் கிழக்கே கூடாரம் அமைத்துக் குடியிருந்தார். அங்கே ஆண்டவருக்கு அவர் ஒரு பலிபீடத்தை எழுப்பி ஆண்டவரது திருப்பெயரைத் தொழுதார்.
