ஆபிராம் கானான் தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்தான்; லோத்து அந்த யோர்தானுக்கு அருகான சமபூமியிலுள்ள பட்டணங்களில் வாசம்பண்ணி, சோதோமுக்கு நேரே கூடாரம் போட்டான்.

ஆபிராம் கானான் நாட்டில் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார். லோத்து யோர்தான் சுற்றுப் பகுதியிலிருந்த நகரங்களில் வாழ்ந்துவந்தார். இறுதியில் சோதோமுக்கு அருகில் கூடாரம் அமைத்துக்கொண்டார்.
