இணை வசனம்

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து: தேவனே, மாம்சமான யாவருடைய ஆவிகளுக்கும் தேவனே, ஒரு மனிதன் பாவம் செய்திருக்கச் சபையார் எல்லார்மேலும் கடுங்கோபங்கொள்வீரோ என்றார்கள்.

ஜனத்தை உபாதிக்கிற தூதனை தாவீது கண்டபோது, அவன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: இதோ, நான்தான் பாவஞ்செய்தேன்; நான்தான் அக்கிரமம்பண்ணினேன்; இந்த ஆடுகள் என்ன செய்தது? உம்முடைய கை எனக்கும் என் தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்கும் விரோதமாயிருப்பதாக என்று விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினான்.

அபிமெலேக்கு அவளைச் சேராதிருந்தான். ஆகையால் அவன்: ஆண்டவரே, நீதியுள்ள ஜனங்களை அழிப்பீரோ?

கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்தில் இருக்கிறார்; கர்த்தருடைய சிங்காசனம் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறது, அவருடைய கண்கள் மனுபுத்திரரைப் பார்க்கிறது; அவருடைய இமைகள் அவர்களைச் சோதித்தறிகிறது.

துன்மார்க்கனோடே நீதிமானையும் சங்கரிப்பது உமக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; நீதிமானையும் துன்மார்க்கனையும் சமமாய் நடப்பிப்பது உமக்குத்தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; சர்வலோக நியாயாதிபதி நீதிசெய்யாதிருப்பாரோ என்றான்.

தேவன் நியாயத்தைப் புரட்டுவாரோ? சர்வவல்லவர் நீதியைப் புரட்டுவாரோ?

நீதியைப் பகைக்கிற ஒருவன் ஆளக்கூடுமோ? மகா நீதிபரரைக் குற்றப்படுத்துவீரோ?

எனக்கோ, தேவனை அண்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பதே நலம்; நான் உமது கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் சொல்லிவரும்படி கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருக்கிறேன்.

அவர்களுடைய பிரபு அவர்களில் ஒருவனாயிருக்க, அவர்களுடைய அதிபதி அவர்கள் நடுவிலிருந்து தோன்றுவார்; அவரைச் சமீபித்து வரப்பண்ணுவேன், அவர் சமீபித்து வருவார், என்னிடத்தில் சேரும்படி தன் இருதயத்தைப் பிணப்படுத்துகிற இவர் யார்? என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நான் மனுஷர் பேசுகிற பிரகாரமாய்ப் பேசுகிறேன்; நம்முடைய அநீதி தேவனுடைய நீதியை விளங்கப்பண்ணினால் என்ன சொல்லுவோம்? கோபாக்கினையைச் செலுத்துகிற தேவன் அநீதராயிருக்கிறார் என்று சொல்லலாமா?

துர்மனச்சாட்சி நீங்கத் தெளிக்கப்பட்ட இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாயும், சுத்த ஜலத்தால் கழுவப்பட்ட சரீரமுள்ளவர்களாயும், உண்மையுள்ள இருதயத்தோடும் விசுவாசத்தின் பூரண நிச்சயத்தோடும் சேரக்கடவோம்.

எலியா என்பவன் நம்மைப்போலப்பாடுள்ள மனுஷனாயிருந்தும், மழைபெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கருத்தாய் ஜெபம்பண்ணினான், அப்பொழுது மூன்றுவருஷமும் ஆறுமாதமும் பூமியின்மேல் மழை பெய்யவில்லை.
