இணை வசனம்

நான் குடியிருக்கிற கானானியருடைய குமாரத்திகளில் நீ என் குமாரனுக்குப் பெண்கொள்ளாமல்;

பின்பு, ரெபெக்காள் ஈசாக்கை நோக்கி: ஏத்தின் குமாரத்திகளினிமித்தம் என் உயிர் எனக்கு வெறுப்பாயிருக்கிறது; இந்தத் தேசத்துப் பெண்களாகிய ஏத்தின் குமாரத்திகளில் யாக்கோபு ஒரு பெண்ணைக் கொள்வானானால் என் உயிர் இருந்து ஆவதென்ன என்றாள்.

தேவகுமாரர் மனுஷகுமாரத்திகளை அதிக செளந்தரியமுள்ளவர்களென்று கண்டு, அவர்களுக்குள்ளே தங்களுக்குப் பெண்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.

என் எஜமான் என்னை நோக்கி: நான் குடியிருக்கிற கானான் தேசத்தாருடைய குமாரத்திகளில் நீ என் குமாரனுக்குப் பெண் கொள்ளாமல்,

ஏசா நாற்பது வயதானபோது ஏத்தியனான பெயேரியினுடைய குமாரத்தியாகிய யூதீத்தையும், ஏத்தியனான ஏலோனுடைய குமாரத்தியாகிய பஸ்மாத்தையும் விவாகம்பண்ணினான்.

அதை எனக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கிற ருசியுள்ள பதார்த்தங்களாகச் சமைத்து, நான் ʠρசிக்கவும், நான் மரணமடையுமுன்னே என் ஆத்துமா உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவும், என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவா என்றான்.

அவன் கிட்டப்போய், அவனை முத்தஞ்செய்தான்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய வஸ்திரங்களின் வாசனையை மோந்து: இதோ, என் குமாரனுடைய வாசனை கர்த்தர் ஆசீர்வதித்த வயல்வெளியின் வாசனையைப்போல இருக்கிறது.

சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, நீ பல ஜனக்கூட்டமாகும்படி உன்னைப் பலுகவும் பெருகவும்பண்ணி;

நீங்கள் எங்களோடே சம்பந்தங் கலந்து, உங்கள் குமாரத்திகளை எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து, எங்கள் குமாரத்திகளை உங்களுக்குக் கொண்டு,

அவன் யோசேப்பை ஆசீர்வதித்து: என் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாமும் ஈசாக்கும் வழிபட்டு வணங்கிய தேவனும், நான் பிறந்த நாள்முதல் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் என்னை ஆதரித்துவந்த தேவனும்,

இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய தகப்பன் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கையில், அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னது இதுதான்; அவனவனுக்குரிய ஆசீர்வாதம் சொல்லி அவனவனை ஆசீர்வதித்தான்.

அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடே உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணுவாயானால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றி, தங்களுடைய தேவர்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவார்கள்; ஒருவன் உன்னை அழைக்கையில், நீ போய், அவன் பலியிட்டதிலே புசிப்பாய்;

தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசே தான் மரணமடையுமுன்னே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை ஆசீர்வதித்த ஆசீர்வாதமாவது:

மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்துக்கு மோசே பாசானிலே சுதந்தரம் கொடுத்தான்; அதின் மற்றப் பாதிக்கு, யோசுவா யோர்தானுக்கு இப்புறத்திலே மேற்கே அவர்கள் சகோதரரோடேகூடச் சுதந்தரம் கொடுத்தான்; யோசுவா அவர்களை அவர்கள் கூடாரங்களுக்கு அனுப்பிவிடுகிறபோது அவர்களை ஆசிர்வதித்து:

அந்நிய நுகத்திலே அவிசுவாசிகளுடன் பிணைக்கப்படாதிருப்பீர்களாக; நீதிக்கும் அநீதிக்கும் சம்பந்தமேது? ஒளிக்கும் இருளுக்கும் ஐக்கியமேது?
