அதற்கு மேலாகக் கர்த்தர் நின்று: நான் உன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர்; நீ படுத்திருக்கிற பூமியை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் தருவேன்.

அதற்கு மேலாகக் கர்த்தர் நின்று: நான் உன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர்; நீ படுத்திருக்கிற பூமியை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் தருவேன்.

கர்த்தர் ஏணியின் அருகில் நின்றுகொண்டிருப்பதையும் கண்டான். கர்த்தர், “நானே தேவன். உன் தாத்தாவான ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் நானே தேவன். நான் ஈசாக்குக்கும் தேவன். இப்போது நீ படுத்திருக்கிற பூமியையே உனக்குக் கொடுப்பேன். இது உனக்கும் உன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் உரியதாகும்.

ஆண்டவர் அதற்கு மேல் நின்றுகொண்டு, ⁽“உன் மூதாதையராகிய ஆபிரகாம்,␢ ஈசாக்கின் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர்␢ நானே. நீ படுத்திருக்கும் இந்த␢ நிலத்தை உனக்கும் உன்␢ வழிமரபிற்கும் தந்தருள்வேன்.⁾
