ஆதியாகமம் 28:4
தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்ததும் நீ பரதேசியாய்த் தங்குகிறதுமான தேசத்தை நீ சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி ஆபிரகாமுக்கு அருளிய ஆசீர்வாதத்தை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் அருளுவாராக என்று சொல்லி;

தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்ததும் நீ பரதேசியாகத் தங்குகிறதுமான தேசத்தை நீ சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ள ஆபிரகாமுக்கு அருளிய ஆசீர்வாதத்தை உனக்கும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் அருளுவாராக என்று சொல்லி;

தேவன் உன்னையும் உன் குழந்தைகளையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். ஆபிரகாமையும் அப்படித்தான் ஆசீர்வதித்தார். நீ வாழ்கிற நாடு உனக்குச் சொந்தமாகும். தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்த நாடு இது” என்றான்.

ஆபிரகாம் பெற்ற ஆசியை அவர் உனக்கும் உன் வழிமரபினருக்கும் வழங்குவாராக! அதனால், நீ அந்நியனாய் வாழும் நாட்டை, அதாவது கடவுள் ஆபிரகாமுக்குத் தந்த நாட்டை, உரிமையாக்கிக் கொள்வாய்.”
