ஏசா இஸ்மவேலிடத்துக்குப் போய், தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த மனைவிகளுமன்றி, ஆபிரகாமுடைய குமாரனாகிய இஸ்மவேலின் குமாரத்தியும் நெபாயோத்தின் சகோதரியுமாகிய மகலாத்தையும் விவாகம்பண்ணினான்.
