உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இனி இந்த ஜாதிகளை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடமாட்டார் என்றும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த இந்த நல்ல தேசத்திலிருந்து அழிந்துபோகுமட்டும் அவர்கள் உங்களுக்குக் கண்ணியாகவும், வலையாகவும், உங்கள் விலாக்களுக்குச் சவுக்காகவும், உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முள்ளுகளாகவும் இருப்பார்கள் என்றும் நிச்சயமாய் அறியுங்கள்.

நிர்வாணியாய் என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து வந்தேன்; நிர்வாணியாய் அவ்விடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன்; கர்த்தர் கொடுத்தார், கர்த்தர் எடுத்தார்; கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்துக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் என்றான்.

பசித்தவன் அவன் விளைச்சலை முட்செடிகளுக்குள்ளுமிருந்து பறித்துத் தின்றான்; பறிகாரன் அவன் ஆஸ்தியை விழுங்கினான்.

அதில் கோதுமைக்குப் பதிலாக முள்ளும், வாற்கோதுமைக்குப் பதிலாகக் களையும் முளைக்கக்கடவது என்றான். யோபின் வார்த்தைகள் முடிந்தது.

நீர் மனுஷரை நிர்த்தூளியாக்கி மனுபுத்திரரே திரும்புங்கள் என்கிறீர்.

ஒளியை வஸ்திரமாகத் தரித்து, வானங்களைத் திரையைப்போல் விரித்திருக்கிறீர்.

பூமியிலிருந்து ஆகாரம் உண்டாகும்படி அவர் மிருகங்களுக்குப் புல்லையும் மனுஷருக்கு உபயோகமான பயிர்வகைகளையும் முளைப்பிக்கிறார்.

மாறுபாடுள்ளவனுடைய வழியிலே முள்ளுகளும் கண்ணிகளுமுண்டு; தன் ஆத்துமாவைக் காக்கிறவன் அவைகளுக்குத் தூரமாய் விலகிப்போவான்.

இதோ, அதெல்லாம் முள்ளுக்காடாயிருந்தது; நிலத்தின் முகத்தைக் காஞ்சொறி மூடினது; அதின் கற்சுவர் இடிந்து கிடந்தது.

அதைப் பாழாக்கிவிடுவேன்; அதின் கிளை நறுக்கப்படாமலும், களைகொத்தி எடுக்கப்படாமலும் போவதினால், முட்செடியும் நெரிஞ்சிலும் முளைக்கும்; அதின்மேல் மழை பெய்யாதபடிக்கு மேகங்களுக்கும் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்கிறார்.

அந்நாளிலே, ஆயிரம் வெள்ளிக்காசு பெறும் ஆயிரம் திராட்சச்செடியிருந்த நிலமெல்லாம் முட்செடியும் நெரிஞ்சிலுமாகும்.

என் ஜனத்தினுடைய நிலத்திலும் களிகூர்ந்திருந்த நகரத்திலுள்ள சந்தோஷம் நிறைந்த எல்லா வீடுகளிலும், முட்செடியும் நெரிஞ்சிலும் முளைக்கும்.

யூதா மனுஷரோடும், எருசலேமியரோடும் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நீங்கள் முள்ளுகளுக்குள்ளே விதையாதிருங்கள், உங்கள் தரிசு நிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்துங்கள்.
