லாபான் யாக்கோபினிடத்தில் வந்தான்; யாக்கோபு மலையிலே தன் கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டிருந்தான்; லாபானும் தன் சகோதரரோடேகூடக் கீலேயாத் மலையிலே கூடாரம் போட்டான்.

மறுநாள் காலையில் லாபான் யாக்கோபைப் பிடித்தான். யாக்கோபு மலைமீது தன் கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டிருந்தான். எனவே லாபானும் அவனது ஆட்களும் கீலேயாத்தின் மலை நகரத்தில் இருந்தனர்.
