அல்லாமலும் அவன்: நாம் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் விட்டு மறைந்தபின், நீ என் குமாரத்திகளைத் துயரப்படுத்தி, அவர்களையல்லாமல் வேறே ஸ்திரீகளை விவாகம்பண்ணினாயானால், கர்த்தர் எனக்கும் உனக்கும் நடுநின்று கண்காணிக்கக்கடவர்;

பிறகு லாபான், “நாம் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் விட்டுப் பிரிந்திருந்தாலும் கர்த்தர் நம்மைக் கண்காணிக்கட்டும்” என்றான். எனவே இந்த இடம் மிஸ்பா என்றும் அழைக்கப்பட்டது.
