இணை வசனம்

சவுலின் படைத்தலைவனான நேரின் குமாரனாகிய அப்னேர் சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய இஸ்போசேத்தை மகனாயீக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்,

காத் கோத்திரத்திலே கொலைசெய்தவனுக்கு அடைக்கலப் பட்டணமாக, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும், மக்னாயீமையும் அதின் வெளிநிலங்களையும்,

அதற்கு அவர்: அல்ல, நான் கர்த்தருடைய சேனையின் அதிபதியாய் இப்பொழுது வந்தேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது யோசுவா தரையிலே முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவரை நோக்கி: என் ஆண்டவர் தமது அடியேனுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்று கேட்டான்.

தாவீது மக்னாயீமுக்கு வந்தான்; அப்சலோம் சகல இஸ்ரவேலரோடுங்கூட யோர்தானைக் கடந்தான்.

மேலும் பகூரிம் ஊரானான பென்யமீனனாகிய கேராவின் மகன் சீமேயி உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிறான்; நான் மக்னாயீமுக்குப் போகிற நாளிலே, அவன் என்னைக் கொடிய தூஷணமாய்த் தூஷித்தான்; ஆனாலும் அவன் யோர்தானிலே எனக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுவந்தபடியினால்: நான் உன்னைப் பட்டயத்தாலே கொன்றுபோடுவதில்லை என்று கர்த்தர்மேல் அவனுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்தேன்.

கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்.

அவருடைய தூதர்களே, நீங்கள் யாவரும் அவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவருடைய சேனைகளே, நீங்கள் யாவரும் அவரைத் துதியுங்கள்.

அந்தணமே பரமசேனையின் திரள் அந்தத் தூதனுடனே தோன்றி:

நேரின் குமாரனாகிய அப்னேர் சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய இஸ்போசேத்தின் சேவகரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு மகனாயீமிலிருந்து கிபியோனுக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப் போனான்.

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களும் அப்சலோமும் கீலேயாத் தேசத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

இத்தோவின் குமாரன் அகினதாப், இவன் மக்னாயீமில் இருந்தான்.

அப்பொழுது எலிசா விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணி: கர்த்தாவே, இவன் பார்க்கும்படி இவன் கண்களைத் திறந்தருளும் என்றான்; உடனே கர்த்தர் அந்த வேலைக்காரன் கண்களைத் திறந்தார்; இதோ, எலிசாவைச் சுற்றிலும் அக்கினிமயமான குதிரைகளாலும் இரதங்களாலும் அந்த மலை நிறைந்திருக்கிறதை அவன் கண்டான்.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானதைச் செய்து, அவர் பணிவிடைக்காரராயிருக்கிற அவருடைய சர்வசேனைகளே, அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் உன்னிடத்திற்கு வந்த காரணம் இன்னதென்று உனக்குத் தெரியுமா? இப்போது நான் பெர்சியாவின் பிரபுவோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணத் திரும்பிப்போகிறேன்; நான் போனபின்பு, கிரேக்கு தேசத்தின் அதிபதி வருவான்.
