ஆதியாகமம் 37:3
இஸ்ரவேலின் முதிர்வயதிலே யோசேப்புத் தனக்குப் பிறந்ததினால், இஸ்ரவேல் தன் குமாரர் எல்லாரிலும் அவனை அதிகமாய் நேசித்து, அவனுக்குப் பலவருணமான அங்கியைச் செய்வித்தான்.

யோசேப்பு பிறக்கும்போது இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு மிக முதிய வயது. எனவே அவன் மற்ற மகன்களைவிட யோசேப்பைப் பெரிதும் நேசித்தான். அவனுக்கென்று ஒரு தனி அங்கியைக் கொடுத்திருந்தான். அது மிக நீளமானதாகவும் அழகானதாகவும் இருந்தது.

இஸ்ரயேல் முதிர்ந்த வயதில் தமக்கு யோசேப்பு பிறந்தமையால் அவரை மற்றெல்லாப் புதல்வரையும் விட அதிகமாக நேசித்து வந்தார். அவருக்கு அழகு வேலைப்பாடுகள் நிறைந்த ஓர் அங்கியைச் செய்து கொடுத்தார்.
