சேத்துக்கும் ஒரு குமாரன் பிறந்தான்; அவனுக்கு ஏனோஸ் என்று பேரிட்டான்; அப்பொழுது மனுஷர் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ள ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்.

நான் உமக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரபலியைச் செலுத்தி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவேன்.

அப்பொழுது ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு ஒருமனப்பட்டு அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படிக்கு நான் அவர்கள் பாஷையைச் சுத்தமான பாஷையாக மாறப்பண்ணுவேன்.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைச் சொல்லிக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்; நான் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைச் சொல்லிக் கூப்ʠοடுவேன்; ŠΪ்பொழுது அக்கினியினால் உத்தரவு அருளும் தெய்வமே தெய்வம் என்றான்; அதற்கு ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் இது நல்ல வார்த்தை என்றார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவனெவனோ அவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்; கர்த்தர் சொன்னபடி, சீயோன் பர்வதத்திலும் எருசலேமிலும் கர்த்தர் வரவழைக்கும் மீதியாயிருப்பவர்களிடத்திலும் இரட்சிப்பு உண்டாயிருக்கும்.

கொரிந்துவிலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களாயும், பரிசுத்தவான்களாகும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாயுமிருக்கிற தேவனுடைய சபைக்கும், எங்களுக்கும் தங்களுக்கும் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிற நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தை எங்கும் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிற அனைவருக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

பின்பு அவன் அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் பெயர்ந்து, பெத்தேலுக்குக் கிழக்கே இருக்கும் மலைக்குப் போய், பெத்தேல் தனக்கு மேற்காகவும் ஆயீ கிழக்காகவும் இருக்கக் கூடாரம் போட்டு, அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டான்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவனெவனோ அவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான் என்று தேவன் உரைத்திருக்கிறார்.

அங்கே அவன் ஒரு பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொண்டு, அங்கே தன் கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டான். அவ்விடத்தில் ஈசாக்கின் வேலைக்காரர் ஒரு துரவை வெட்டினார்கள்.

கர்த்தர் எனக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பாரென்றும், நான் அவர் வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவர் கட்டளைகளையும் அவர் கற்பனைகளையும் அவர் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவேன் என்றும் நீ இன்று அவருக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தாய்.

ஒருவன், நான் கர்த்தருடையவன் என்பான்; ஒருவன் யாக்கோபின்பேரைத் தரித்துக்கொள்வான்; ஒருவன், தான் கர்த்தருடையவன் என்று கையெழுத்துப்போட்டு, இஸ்ரவேலின் நாமத்தைத் தரித்துக்கொள்வான்.

இஸ்ரவேலென்னும் பெயர்பெற்று, யூதாவின் நீரூற்றிலிருந்து சுரந்தவர்களும், கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தின்மேல் ஆணையிட்டு, உண்மையும் நீதியும் இல்லாமல் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனை அறிக்கையிடுகிறவர்களுமான யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தாரே, கேளுங்கள்.

நாங்களே உம்முடையவர்கள், அவர்களை ஒருபொழுதும் நீர் ஆண்டதில்லை; அவர்களுக்கு உமது நாமம் தரிக்கப்பட்டதுமில்லை.

அந்நாட்களில் யூதா இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டு, எருசலேம் சுகமாய்த் தங்கும்; அவர் எங்கள் நீதியாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தர் என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்.

ஏனோஸ் சேத்தின் குமாரன்; சேத் ஆதாமின் குமாரன்; ஆதாம் தேவனால் உண்டானவன்.

அவர்கள் ஒரு வருஷகாலமாய்ச் சபையோடே கூடியிருந்து, அநேக ஜனங்களுக்கு உபதேசம்பண்ணினார்கள். முதல்முதல் அந்தியோகியாவிலே சீஷர்களுக்குக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்கிற பேர் வழங்கிற்று.

ஆதலால் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிற எவனும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்.
