அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் சொன்னபடியே ஆகட்டும்; எவனிடத்தில் அது காணப்படுமோ, அவன் எனக்கு அடிமையாவான்; நீங்கள் குற்றமற்றிருப்பீர்கள் என்றான்.

வேலைக்காரனோ, “நீங்கள் சொல்வது போலவே செய்வோம். ஆனால் அந்த மனிதனை நான் கொல்லமாட்டேன். அந்த வெள்ளிக் கோப்பை யாரிடம் உள்ளதோ அவன் எங்கள் அடிமையாவான். மற்றவர்களை விட்டுவிடுவேன்” என்றான்.

அதுகேட்டு அவன், “நன்று நன்று; உங்கள் சொற்களின்படி ஆகட்டும். அது எவனிடம் அகப்படுமோ அவன் எனக்கு அடிமையாக இருப்பான்; மற்றவர்கள் குற்றமற்றவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள்” என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னான்.
