And they said	וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ	wayyōʾmĕrû	va-yoh-meh-ROO
unto	אֵלָ֔יו	ʾēlāyw	ay-LAV
him, Wherefore	לָ֚מָּה	lāmmâ	LA-ma
saith	יְדַבֵּ֣ר	yĕdabbēr	yeh-da-BARE
my lord	אֲדֹנִ֔י	ʾădōnî	uh-doh-NEE
these	כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים	kaddĕbārîm	ka-deh-va-REEM
words?	הָאֵ֑לֶּה	hāʾēlle	ha-A-leh
forbid God	חָלִ֙ילָה֙	ḥālîlāh	ha-LEE-LA
