அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆடுமாடு முதலானவைகளை யோசேப்பினிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; யோசேப்பு குதிரைகளையும் ஆடுகளையும் மாடுகளையும் கழுதைகளையும் வாங்கிக் கொண்டு, அந்த வருஷம் அவர்களுடைய ஆடுமாடு முதலான எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் பதிலாக அவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரம் கொடுத்து, அவர்களை ஆதரித்தான்.

எனவே, அவர்கள் போய் மந்தைகளைக் கொண்டு வந்தபோது, யோசேப்பு குதிரைகளையும் ஆட்டுமந்தைகளையும், மாட்டுமந்தைகளையும் கழுதைகளையும் வாங்கிக் கொண்டு அவற்றுக்குப் பதிலாக அவர்களுக்கு உணவுப் பொருள்கள் கொடுத்தார். இப்படிக் கால்நடைகளையெல்லாம் ஈடாகப் பெற்று அவர்களை அந்த ஆண்டு காப்பாற்றினார்.
