ஆதியாகமம் 47:6
எகிப்து தேசம் உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; தேசத்தில் உள்ள நல்ல இடத்திலே உன் தகப்பனையும் உன் சகோதரரையும் குடியேறும்படி செய்; அவர்கள் கோசேன் நாட்டிலே குடியிருக்கலாம்; அவர்களுக்குள்ளே திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் உண்டென்று உனக்குத் தெரிந்தால், அவர்களை என் ஆடுமாடுகளை விசாரிக்கிறதற்குத் தலைவராக வைக்கலாம் என்றான்.

எகிப்துதேசம் உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; தேசத்திலுள்ள நல்ல இடத்திலே உன்னுடைய தகப்பனையும், சகோதரர்களையும் குடியேறும்படி செய்; அவர்கள் கோசேன் நாட்டிலே குடியிருக்கலாம்; அவர்களுக்குள்ளே திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் உண்டென்று உனக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்தால், அவர்களை என் ஆடுமாடுகளை விசாரிக்கிறதற்குத் தலைவராக ஏற்படுத்தலாம் என்றான்.

எனவே, நீ எந்த இடத்தை வேண்டுமானாலும் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம். அவர்களுக்கு நல்ல நிலத்தைக் கொடு. அவர்கள் வேண்டுமானால் கோசேனிலேயே வாழட்டும். அவர்கள் திறமையுள்ள மேய்ப்பர்கள் என்றால் எனது ஆடுமாடுகளையும் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளலாம்” என்றான்.

திருவிவிலியம்
எகிப்து நாடு உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது. இந்த நாட்டின் சிறந்த பகுதியில் உம் தந்தையும் சகோதரரும் குடியேறும்படி செய்யும். கோசேன் பகுதியில் அவர்கள் வாழட்டும். அவர்களில் திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் உண்டென்று நீர் அறிவீரானால், எனக்குச் சொந்தமான மந்தைகளுக்குப் பொறுப்பான அதிகாரிகளாக அவர்களை ஏற்படுத்தலாம்” என்றான்.⒫
