அப்பொழுது லேயாள்: ஏராளமாகிறது என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்குக் காத் என்று பேரிட்டாள்.

காத்துடைய குமாரர் சிப்பியோன், அகி, சூனி, எஸ்போன், ஏரி, அரோதி, அரேலி என்பவர்கள்.

ரூபன் புத்திரருக்கும் காத் புத்திரருக்கும் ஆடுமாடுகள் மிகவும் திரளாயிருந்தது; அவர்கள் யாசேர் தேசத்தையும் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தையும் பார்த்தபோது, அது ஆடுமாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்த இடமென்று கண்டார்கள்.

காத்தைக்குறித்து: காத்துக்கு விஸ்தாரமான இடத்தைக் கொடுக்கிறவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர்; அவன் சிங்கத்தைப்போல் தங்கியிருந்து, புயத்தையும் உச்சந்தலையையும் பீறிப்போடுவான்.

மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாரும் ரூபனியரும் காத்தியரும் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தை அடைந்து தீர்ந்தது; அதைக் கர்த்தரின் தாசனாகிய மோசே யோர்தானுக்கு அப்புறத்தில் கிழக்கே அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.

அபிமெலேக்குக்குப்பின்பு, தோதோவின் மகனாகிய பூவாவின் குமாரன் தோலா என்னும் இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தான் இஸ்ரவேலை இரட்சிக்க எழும்பினான்; அவன் எப்பிராயீம் மலைத்தேசத்து ஊராகிய சாமீரிலே குடியிருந்தான்.

மல்கீராம், பெதாயா, சேனாசார், யெகமியா, ஒசாமா, நெதபியா என்பவர்கள்.

காத்தின் புத்திரர் அவர்களுக்கு எதிரே பாசான்தேசத்திலே சல்காமட்டும் வாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவன் அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய பூலின் ஆவியையும், அசீரியா ராஜாவாகிய தில்காத்பில்நேசரின் ஆவியையும் எழுப்பினதினாலே, அவன் ரூபனியரும், காத்தியரும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாருமாகிய அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்து இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல, ஆலாவுக்கும் ஆபோருக்கும் ஆராவுக்கும் கோசான் ஆற்றங்கரைக்கும் கொண்டுபோனான்.
