அவர்கள் யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையில் இருக்கிற ஆத்தாத்தின் போர்க்களத்தில் வந்தபோது, அவ்விடத்தில் பெரும் புலம்பலாகப் புலம்பினார்கள். அங்கே தன் தகப்பனுக்காக ஏழுநாள் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினான்.

அவர்கள் யோர்தான் நதிக்கு அப்பால் இருந்த கோரேன் அத்தத்து என்ற இடத்திற்கு வந்ததும் அங்கே ஓலமிட்டுக் கதறி ஒப்பாரி வைத்துப் பெரிதும் புலம்பினர். யோசேப்பு தம் தந்தைக்காக ஏழுநாள் புலம்பல் சடங்கு நடத்தினார்.
