ஆனாலும் உன்னுடனே என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்துவேன்; நீயும் உன்னோடேகூட உன் குமாரரும், உன் மனைவியும், உன் குமாரரின் மனைவிகளும், பேழைக்குள் பிரவேசியுங்கள்.

இனி மாம்சமானவைகளெல்லாம் ஜலப்பிரளயத்தினால் சங்கரிக்கப்படுவதில்லையென்றும், பூமியை அழிக்க இனி ஜலப்பிரளயம் உண்டாவதில்லையென்றும், உங்களோடே என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்துகிறேன் என்றார்.

இது எனக்கும், பூமியின்மேலுள்ள மாம்சமான யாவுக்கும், நான் ஏற்படுத்தின உடன்படிக்கையின் அடையாளம் என்று நோவாவோடே சொன்னார்.

உனக்கும் உனக்குப் பின்வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நான் தேவனாயிருக்கும்படி எனக்கும் உனக்கும், உனக்குப்பின் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக வரும் உன் சந்ததிக்கும் நடுவே, என் உடன்படிக்கையை நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாக ஸ்தாபிப்பேன்.

நான் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவே ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் சந்ததியை வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களைப் போலவும், கடற்கரை மணலைப்போலவும் பெருகவே பெருகப் பண்ணுவேன் என்றும், உன் சந்ததியார் தங்கள் சத்துருக்களின் வாசல்களைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள் என்றும்,

இது எனக்கு நோவாவின் காலத்திலுண்டான வெள்ளம்போலிருக்கும்; நோவாவின் காலத்திலுண்டான வெள்ளம் இனி பூமியின்மேல் புரண்டுவருவதில்லை என்று நான் ஆணையிட்டதுபோல, உன்மேல் நான் கோபங்கொள்வதில்லையென்றும், உன்னை நான் கடிந்துகொள்வதில்லையென்றும் ஆணையிட்டேன்.

சூரியனைப் பகல் வெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் சந்திர நட்சத்திர நியமங்களை இராவெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் கட்டளையிட்டவரும், அலைகள் கொந்தளிக்கத்தக்கதாகச் சமுத்திரத்தைக் குலுக்குகிறவரும், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ளவருமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

குறித்த தேசங்களில் பகற்காலமும் இராக்காலமும் உண்டாகாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் பகற்காலத்தைக்குறித்து நான் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும், இராக்காலத்தைக்குறித்து நான் உண்டாக்கின உடன்படிக்கையையும் அவமாக்கினால்,

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.
