தேவனுடைய குமாரனைக் காலின்கீழ் மிதித்து, தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்த உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தத்தை அசுத்தமென்றெண்ணி, கிருபையின் ஆவியை நிந்திக்கிறவன் எவ்வளவு கொடிதான ஆக்கினைக்குப் பாத்திரவானாயிருப்பானென்பதை யோசித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

ஆகவே தேவனுடைய குமாரன் மேல் வெறுப்பைக் காட்டுகிறவன் எவ்வளவு மோசமான தண்டனைக்கு உரியவன் என்பதை யோசித்துப் பாருங்கள். அவன் இரத்தத்தைப் பரிசுத்தமற்றதாக நினைத்தான். புதிய உடன்படிக்கையின்படி இயேசு சிந்திய அந்த இரத்தம் தான் அம்மனிதனைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கிய உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தமாகும். தனக்குக் கிருபை காட்டிய ஆவியையே அம்மனிதன் அவமானப்படுத்தினான்.
