தனக்கு ஒரேபேறானவனையே பலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்; மரித்தோரிலிருந்து அவனை பாவனையாகத் திரும்பவும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டான்.

தேவன் மக்களை மரணத்திலிருந்து எழுப்புவார் என ஆபிரகாம் நம்பினான். உண்மையில் அதுபோன்றே ஆபிரகாம் அவன் மகனைக் கொல்லாதபடி தேவன் தடுத்துவிட்டார். இதுவும் மரணத்திலிருந்து எழுப்பியது போலாயிற்று.

ஏனெனில், இறந்தோரைக் கடவுள் உயிரோடு எழுப்ப வல்லவர் என்பதை அவர் உணர்ந்திருந்தார். எனவே, அவர் தம் மகனை மீண்டும் பெற்றுக் கொண்டார். பின்பு நடக்கவிருந்ததற்கு இது ஓர் அறிகுறி.⒫
