நீங்கள் சிட்சையைச் சகிக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால் தேவன் உங்களைப் புத்திரராக எண்ணி நடத்துகிறார்; தகப்பன் சிட்சியாத புத்திரனுண்டோ?

எனவே ஒரு பிதாவின் தண்டனை என்று எல்லாத் துன்பங்களையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். ஒரு தந்தை தன் மகனைத் தண்டிப்பது போன்றே தேவன் உன்னையும் தண்டித்திருக்கிறார். எல்லாப் பிள்ளைகளுமே தம் தந்தைகளால் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
