சமாரியாவே, உன் கன்றுக்குட்டி உன்னை வெறுத்துவிடுகிறது; என் கோபம் அவர்கள்மேல் மூண்டது; எதுவரைக்கும் சுத்தாங்கம் அடையமாட்டாதிருப்பார்கள்?

சமாரியாவே. கர்த்தர் உனது கன்றுகுட்டியை மறுத்துவிட்டார். தேவன் சொன்னார்: ‘நான் இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்கு எதிராக மிகவும் கோபத்துடன் இருக்கிறேன்.’ இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் தமது பாவத்திற்காகத் தண்டிக்கப்படுவார்கள். யாரோ வேலைக்காரன் அச்சிலைகளைச் செய்தான். அவை தேவன் அல்ல. சமாரியாவின் கன்றுகுட்டி துண்டுதுண்டாக உடைக்கப்படும்.
