அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளை வளர்த்தாலும், அவர்களுக்கு மனுஷர் இராதபடிக்கு அவர்களைப் பிள்ளைகள் அற்றவர்களாக்குவேன்; நான் அவர்களை விட்டுப்போகையில் அவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ!

ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் தம் பிள்ளைகளை வளர்த்தாலும் அது அவர்களுக்கு உதவாது. நான் அவர்களிடமிருந்து அவர்களது பிள்ளைகளை எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன். நான் அவர்களை விட்டுவிடுவேன். அவர்களுக்குத் தொல்லைகளைத் தவிர வேறு எதுவும் இருக்காது.

அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு அலைந்துதிரிகிறபடியினால் அவர்களுக்கு ஐயோ! அவர்களுக்குக் கேடுவரும்; எனக்கு விரோதமாக இரண்டகம் பண்ணினார்கள்; நான் அவர்களை மீட்டிருந்தும், அவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

உபாகமம் 31:17

அந்நாளிலே நான் அவர்கள்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு, அவர்களைக் கைவிட்டு, என் முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு மறைப்பேன்; அதினால் அவர்கள் பட்சிக்கப்படும்படிக்கு அநேக தீங்குகளும் இக்கட்டுகளும் அவர்களைத் தொடரும்; அந்நாளிலே அவர்கள்: எங்கள் தேவன் எங்கள் நடுவே இராததினாலே அல்லவா இந்தத் தீங்குகள் எங்களைத் தொடர்ந்தது என்பார்கள்.
