ஏசாயா 10:7
அவனோ அப்படி எண்ணுகிறதுமில்லை, அவன் இருதயம் அப்படிப்பட்டதை நினைக்கிறதுமில்லை; அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை அழிக்கவும் சங்கரிக்கவுமே தன் மனதிலே நினைவுகொள்ளுகிறான்.

“ஆனால் நான்தான் அதனைக் பயன்படுத்துகிறேன் என்பது அசீரியாவிற்குத் தெரியாது. எனக்கு அது ஒரு கருவி என்பது அசீரியாவிற்கு புரியாது. மற்றவர்களை அழிக்கவேண்டும் என்று மட்டுமே அசீரியா விரும்புகிறது. அசீரியா பல நாடுகளை அழிக்கவேண்டும் என்று மட்டுமே திட்டமிடுகிறது.
