அக்காலத்திலே, ஜனங்களுக்குக் கொடியாக நிற்கும் ஈசாயின் வேருக்காக ஜாதிகள் விசாரித்துக் கேட்பார்கள்; அவருடைய தாபரஸ்தலம் மகிமையாயிருக்கும்,

அப்போது, ஈசாயின் குடும்பத்தில் இருந்து ஒருவர் வருவார். அவர் ஒரு கொடியைப்போல இருப்பார். “அக்கொடி” அனைத்து நாடுகளையும் காட்டி அவரைச் சுற்றிவரும். நாடுகளெல்லாம் தான் செய்ய வேண்டியதைப்பற்றி அவரிடம் கேட்கும். அவர் இருக்கின்ற இடமெல்லாம் மகிமை நிறைந்திருக்கும்.
