ஆகையால் யாசேருக்காக அழுததுபோலே, சிப்மாஊர்த் திராட்சச்செடிக்காகவும் மிகவும் அழுவேன்; எஸ்போனே, எலெயாலேயே உனக்கு என் கண்ணீரைப் பாய்ச்சுவேன்; உன் வசந்தகாலத்துப் பழங்களுக்காகவும், உன் திராட்சப்பழ அறுப்புக்காகவும் ஆரவாரிக்கிற சந்தோஷ சத்தம் விழுந்துபோயிற்று.

“நான் யாசேர் மற்றும் சிப்மா ஜனங்களோடு அழுவேன், ஏனென்றால், திராட்சைகள் அழிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டன. நான் எஸ்போனே மற்றும் எலெயாலே ஜனங்களோடு அழுவேன். ஏனென்றால், அங்கே அறுவடை நடைபெறாது. கோடைகாலப் பழங்களும் இல்லாமல் போகும். மகிழ்ச்சி ஆரவாரங்களும் இல்லாமல் போகும்.

Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
