பகற்காலத்திலே உன் நாற்றை வளரவும் விடியற்காலத்திலே உன் விதையை முளைக்கவும் பண்ணினாலும், பலனைச் சேர்க்கும் நாளிலே துக்கமும் கடும்வேதனையுமே உங்கள் அறுப்பாயிருக்கும்.

ஒரு நாள் உன் திராட்சைக் கொடிகளை நடுவாய். அவற்றை வளர்க்க முயல்கிறாய். மறுநாள் அக்கொடிகள் வளரத் தொடங்கும். ஆனால் அறுவடைக் காலத்தில் அச்செடிகளிலிருந்து பழங்களைப் பறிக்க செல்வாய். ஆனால் அனைத்தும் மரித்துப் போனதை காண்பாய். அனைத்து செடிகளையும் ஒரு நோய் அழித்துவிடும்.
