மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா,

மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா, ஆதாத், தேமா,

பின்பு, யாக்கோபு ஏதோம் சீமையாகிய சேயீர் தேசத்திலிருக்கிற தன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏசாவினிடத்துக்குப் போகும்படி ஆட்களை அழைப்பித்து:

ஏதோம் சுதந்தரமாகும், சேயீர் தன் சத்துருக்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகும்; இஸ்ரவேல் பராக்கிரமஞ்செய்யும்.

அவர்களோடே போர்ச்செய்யவேண்டாம்; அவர்கள் தேசத்திலே ஒரு அடி நிலமும் உங்களுக்குக் கொடேன்; சேயீர் மலைநாட்டை ஏசாவுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறேன்.

கர்த்தாவே, எருசலேமின் நாளிலே ஏதோமின் புத்திரரை நினையும்; அவர்கள்: அதை இடித்துப்போடுங்கள், அஸ்திபாரமட்டும் இடித்துப்போடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னார்களே.

ஆண்டவர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ போய், காண்பதைத் தெரிவிக்கும்படி ஜாமக்காரனை வை என்றார்.

ஜாதிகளே, கேட்கிறதற்குக் கிட்டிவாருங்கள்; ஜனங்களே கவனியுங்கள்; பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும், பூச்சக்கரமும் அதில் உற்பத்தியான யாவும் கேட்கக்கடவது.

ஏதோமிலும் அதிலுள்ள போஸ்றா பட்டணத்திலுமிருந்து, சாயந்தீர்ந்த வஸ்திரங்களுடையவராகவும், மகத்துவமாய் உடுத்திருக்கிறவராகவும், தமது மகத்தான வல்லமையிலே எழுந்தருளினவராகவும் வருகிற இவர் யார்? நீதியாய்ப் பேசி இரட்சிக்க வல்லவராகிய நான்தானே.

பின்பு சிதேக்கியா ராஜா அவனை அழைத்தனுப்பி: கர்த்தரால் ஒரு வார்த்தை உண்டோ என்று ராஜா அவனைத் தன் வீட்டிலே இரகசியமாய்க் கேட்டான். அதற்கு எரேமியா: உண்டு, பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவீர் என்று சொன்னான்.

ஏதோமைக்குறித்துச் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்; தேமானிலே இனி ஞானமில்லையோ? ஆலோசனை விவேகிகளைவிட்டு அழிந்ததோ? அவர்களுடைய ஞானம் கெட்டுப்போயிற்றோ?

கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

யூதா புத்திரரின் தேசத்திலே குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தி, அவர்களுக்குச் செய்த கொடுமையினிமித்தம் எகிப்து பாழாய்ப்போகும்; ஏதோம் பாழான வனாந்தரமாகும்.

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: காத்சாவினுடைய மூன்று பாதங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அதின் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டவர்களை ஏதோமியரிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கும்படி முழுதும் சிறையாக்கினார்களே.

ஒபதியாவின் தரிசனம்; கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் ஏதோமைக் குறித்துச் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: எழும்புங்கள், அதற்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம்பண்ண எழும்புவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று அறிவிக்க ஸ்தானாபதி ஜாதிகளிடத்தில் அனுப்பப்படும் செய்தியைக் கர்த்தர் சொல்லக்கேட்டோம்.

நான் உங்களைச் சிநேகித்தேனென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அதற்கு நீங்கள்: எங்களை எப்படிச் சிநேகித்தீர் என்கிறீர்கள்; கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: ஏசா யாக்கோபுக்குச் சகோதரனல்லவோ? ஆகிலும் யாக்கோபை நான் சிநேகித்தேன்.
