அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆண்டவரே, எதுவரைக்கும் என்று கேட்டேன். அதற்கு அவர்: பட்டணங்கள் குடியில்லாமலும், வீடுகள் மனுஷசஞ்சாரமில்லாமலும் பாழாகி, பூமி அவாந்தரவெளியாகி,

இதோ, கர்த்தர் தேசத்தை வெறுமையும் பாழுமாக்கி, அதைக் கவிழ்த்து அதின் குடிகளைச் சிதறடிப்பார்.

கேதார் புத்திரராகிய பராக்கிரம வில்வீரரின் தொகையில் மீதியானவர்கள் கொஞ்சப்பேராயிருப்பார்கள் என்றார்; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இதை உரைத்தார்.

உறுதியான இடத்தில் கடாவப்பட்டிருந்த ஆணி அந்நாளிலே பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, முறிந்துவிழும்; அப்பொழுது அதின்மேல் தொங்கின பாரம் அறுந்துவிழும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார்; கர்த்தரே இதை உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

நீங்கள் செவிகொடுத்துக் கேளுங்கள்; மேட்டிமையாய் இராதேயுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் விளம்பினார்.
