இனிச் சூரியன் உனக்குப் பகலிலே வெளிச்சமாயிராமலும், சந்திரன் தன் வெளிச்சத்தால் உனக்குப் பிரகாசியாமலும், கர்த்தர் உனக்கு நித்திய வெளிச்சமும், உன் தேவனே உனக்கு மகிமையுமாயிருப்பார்.

நீ கர்த்தருடைய கையில் அலங்காரமான கிரீடமும், உன் தேவனுடைய கரத்தில் ராஜமுடியுமாயிருப்பாய்.

நீதியைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டேன், அது என் உடுப்பாயிருந்தது; என் நியாயம் எனக்குச் சால்வையும் பாகையுமாய் இருந்தது.

அவைகளைத் தூற்றுவாய், அப்பொழுது காற்று அவைகளைக் கொண்டுபோய், சுழல்காற்று அவைகளைப் பறக்கடிக்கும்; நீயோ கர்த்தருக்குள்ளே களிகூர்ந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தருக்குள்ளே மேன்மைபாராட்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பாய்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் சந்ததியாகிய யாவரும் கர்த்தருக்குள் நீதிமான்களாக்கப்பட்டு மேன்மைபாராட்டுவார்கள்.

உமது கிரியை உமது ஊழியக்காரருக்கும், உமது மகிமை அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் விளங்குவதாக.

அக்காலத்திலே இஸ்ரவேலில் மீதியானவர்களும், யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தில் தப்பினவர்களும், பின்னொருபோதும் தங்களை அடித்தவனைச் சார்ந்துகொள்ளாமல், இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தராகிய கர்த்தரையே உண்மையாய்ச் சார்ந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டநாளில் அவர்களுக்கு இருந்ததுபோல, அசீரியாவிலே அவருடைய ஜனத்தில் மீதியானவர்களுக்கு ஒரு பெரும்பாதையிருக்கும்.

யூதா வம்சத்தாரில் தப்பி மீந்திருக்கிறவர்கள் மறுபடியும் கீழே வேர்பற்றி மேலே கனிகொடுப்பார்கள்.

எழும்பிப் பிரகாசி; உன் ஒளிவந்தது, கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை உன்மேல் உதித்தது.

ஞானி தன் ஞானத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்; பராக்கிரமன் தன் பராக்கிரமத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்; ஐசுவரியவான் தன் ஐசுவரியத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்;

அவரே கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவார்; அவர் மகிமைபொருந்தினவராய், தம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருந்து ஆளுகை செய்வார்; தம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் ஆசாரியராயும் இருப்பார்; இவ்விரண்டின் நடுவாகச் சமாதானத்தின் ஆலோசனை விளங்கும்.

உம்முடைய இரட்சணியத்தை என் கண்கள் கண்டது என்றான்.

அப்படிப்போல இக்காலத்திலேயும் கிருபையினாலே உண்டாகும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுதலின்படி ஒரு பங்கு மீதியாயிருக்கிறது.

அந்தப்படி, நீங்கள் அவராலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குட்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறவன் கர்த்தரைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டத்தக்கதாக,

மேலும் காணப்படுகிறவைகளையல்ல, காணப்படாதவைகளை நோக்கியிருக்கிற நமக்கு அதிசீக்கிரத்தில் நீங்கும் இலேசான நம்முடைய உபத்திரவம் மிகவும் அதிகமான நித்திய கனமகிமையை உண்டாக்குகிறது.

அப்படிச் செய்தால் பிரதான மேய்ப்பர் வெளிப்படும்போது மகிமையுள்ள வாடாத கிரீடத்தைப் பெறுவீர்கள்.
