அப்பொழுது முடவன் மானைப்போல் குதிப்பான்; ஊமையன் நாவும் கெம்பீரிக்கும்; வனாந்தரத்திலே தண்ணீர்களும், கடுவெளியிலே ஆறுகளும் பாய்ந்தோடும்.

ஏசாயா 43:19

இதோ, நான் புதிய காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன்; இப்பொழுதே அது தோன்றும்; நீங்கள் அதை அறியீர்களா? நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும் அவாந்தரவெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குவேன்.

சகல ஜாதிகளின்மேலும் கர்த்தருடைய கடுங்கோபமும், அவர்களுடைய சகல சேனைகளின்மேலும் அவருடைய உக்கிரமும் மூளுகிறது; அவர்களைச் சங்காரத்துக்கு நியமித்து, கொலைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறார்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் புறப்பட்டு, அசீரியரின் பாளயத்தில் லட்சத்தெண்பத்தையாயிரம்பேரைச் சங்கரித்தான்; அதிகாலமே எழுந்திருக்கும்போது, இதோ, அவர்களெல்லாரும் செத்த பிரேதங்களாய்க் கிடந்தார்கள்.

ஏதோமிலும் அதிலுள்ள போஸ்றா பட்டணத்திலுமிருந்து, சாயந்தீர்ந்த வஸ்திரங்களுடையவராகவும், மகத்துவமாய் உடுத்திருக்கிறவராகவும், தமது மகத்தான வல்லமையிலே எழுந்தருளினவராகவும் வருகிற இவர் யார்? நீதியாய்ப் பேசி இரட்சிக்க வல்லவராகிய நான்தானே.
