இணை வசனம்

அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா லாகீசிலுள்ள அசீரியா ராஜாவுக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி: நான் குற்றஞ்செய்தேன்; என்னைவிட்டுத் திரும்பிப்போம்; நீர் என்மேல் சுமத்துவதைச் சுமப்பேன் என்று சொன்னான்; அப்படியே அசீரியா ராஜா யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின்மேல் முந்நூறு தாலந்து வெள்ளியையும் முப்பது தாலந்து பொன்னையும் சுமத்தினான்.

ஞானி எங்கே? வேதபாரகன் எங்கே? இப்பிரபஞ்சத் தர்க்கசாஸ்திரி எங்கே? இவ்வுலகத்தின் ஞானத்தை தேவன் பைத்தியமாக்கவில்லையா?

அப்பொழுது ஆபிரகாம் எப்பெரோனின் சொல்லைக் கேட்டு, ஏத்தின் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாக எப்பெரோன் சொன்னபடியே, வர்த்தகரிடத்தில் செல்லும்படியான நானூறு சேக்கல் நிறை வெள்ளியை அவனுக்கு நிறுத்துக் கொடுத்தான்.

நீ சொல்லிய யோசனை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக; நான் இரத்தம் சிந்த வராதபடிக்கும், என் கையே பழிவாங்காதபடிக்கும், நீ இன்றையதினம் எனக்குத் தடைபண்ணினபடியினால், நீயும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவாயாக.

தாவீது மிகவும் நெருக்கப்பட்டான்; சகல ஜனங்களும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளினிமித்தம் மனக்கிலேசமானதினால், அவனைக் கல்லெறியவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்; தாவீது தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குள்ளே தன்னைத் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான்.

அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பூல், தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் பூலின் உதவியினால் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை தன் கையில் பலப்படுத்தும்பொருட்டு, அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து வெள்ளி கொடுத்தான்.

எசேக்கியாவின் சொல்லைக் கேளாதிருங்கள்; அசீரியா ராஜா சொல்லுகிறதாவது: நீங்கள் என்னோடே ராசியாகி, காணிக்கையோடே என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள்; நான் வந்து, உங்களை உங்கள் தேசத்துக்கு ஒப்பான தானியமும் திராட்சத்தோட்டமுமுள்ள தேசமும், அப்பமும் திராட்சரசமுமுள்ள தேசமும், ஒலிவ எண்ணெயும் தேனுமுள்ள தேசமுமாகிய சீமைக்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோகுமளவும்,

உமது கிருபையிலே களிகூர்ந்து மகிழுவேன்; நீர் என் உபத்திரவத்தைப் பார்த்து, என் ஆத்தும வியாகுலங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

உம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக இராதபடிக்கு வெட்டுண்டேன் என்று நான் என் மனக்கலக்கத்திலே சொன்னேன்; ஆனாலும் நான் உம்மைநோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டபோது, என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டீர்.

அநேக இக்கட்டுகளையும் ஆபத்துகளையும் காணும்படி செய்த என்னை நீர் திரும்பவும் உயிர்ப்பித்து, திரும்பவும் என்னைப் பூமியின் பாதாளங்களிலிருந்து ஏறப்பண்ணுவீர்.

ஆகையால் சேனைகளின் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தர், அவனைச்சேர்ந்த கொழுத்தவர்களுக்குள்ளே இளைப்பை அனுப்புவார்; பட்சிக்கும் அக்கினியைப்போலும் ஒரு அக்கினியை அவன் மகிமையின்கீழ் கொளுத்துவார்.

இதோ, சாயங்காலத்திலே கலக்கமுண்டாகும், விடியற்காலத்துக்குமுன் அவர்கள் ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; இதுவே நம்மைக் கொள்ளையாடுகிறவர்களின் பங்கும், நம்மைச் சூறையாடுகிறவர்களின் வீதமுமாயிருக்கும்.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா வியாதிப்பட்டு தன் வியாதி நீங்கிச் சொஸ்தமானபோது எழுதிவைத்ததாவது:

ஆகையால் சகோதரரே, ஆசியாவில் எங்களுக்கு நேரிட்ட உபத்திரவத்தை நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்க எங்களுக்கு மனதில்லை. என்னவெனில், பிழைப்போம் என்ற நம்பிக்கை அற்றுப்போகத்தக்கதாக, எங்கள் பலத்திற்கு மிஞ்சின அதிக பாரமான வருத்தம் எங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று.

அன்றியும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் தேவபக்தியாய் நடக்க மனதாயிருக்கிற யாவரும் துன்பப்படுவார்கள்.
