உன் ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு ஆண்டவரை நிந்தித்து: என் இரதங்களின் திரளினாலே நான் மலைகளின் கொடுமுடிகளுக்கும் லீபனோனின் சிகரங்களுக்கும் வந்து ஏறினேன்; அதின் உயரமான கேதுருமரங்களையும், உச்சிதமான தேவதாரு விருட்சங்களையும் நான் வெட்டி, உயர்ந்த அதின் கடைசி எல்லைமட்டும், அதின் செழுமையான வனமட்டும் வருவேன் என்றும்,

எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரைப்பற்றி எதிராகப் பேச உனது வேலைக்காரர்களைப் பயன்படுத்தினாய். நீ, ‘நான் வல்லமையுள்ளவன்! என்னிடம் பற்பல இரதங்கள் உள்ளன. எனது வல்லமையால் நான் லீபனோனைத் தோற்கடித்தேன். லீபனோனின் மலை உச்சிகளில் நான் ஏறினேன். நான் லீபனோனில் உள்ள உயரமான மரங்களை (படைகள்) வெட்டித் தள்ளினேன். நான் மலையின் உச்சிக்கும் காட்டின் மிக ஆழமான பகுதிக்கும் சென்றிருக்கிறேன் என்று கூறினாய்.

⁽நீ உன் பணியாளர்களைக் கொண்டு␢ என் தலைவரைப் பழித்துரைத்து,␢ என் பெரும் தேர்ப்படையுடன்␢ நான் மலை உச்சிகளுக்கும்␢ லெபனோனின் மலைச்சரிவுகளுக்கும்␢ ஏறினேன்;␢ வானளாவிய அதன் கேதுரு மரங்களையும்␢ மிகச்சிறந்த தேவதாரு மரங்களையும்␢ வெட்டி வீழ்த்தினேன்;␢ கடை எல்லையிலுள்ள␢ அதன் உச்சிக்கும்␢ அடர்த்தியான அதன்␢ காட்டுப் பகுதிக்கும் வந்தேன்.⁾

By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.
