இதினிமித்தம் அக்கினிஜுவாலை வைக்கோலைப் பட்சிப்பதுபோலவும், செத்தையானது நெருப்புக்கு இரையாகி எரிந்துபோவதுபோலவும், அவர்கள் வேர் வாடி, அவர்கள் துளிர் தூசியைப்போல் பறந்துபோகும்; அவர்கள் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தை வெறுத்து, இஸ்ரவேலிலுள்ள பரிசுத்தருடைய வசனத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணினார்களே.

அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் கேடு ஏற்படும். அவர்களின் சந்ததி முழுமையாக அழிக்கப்படும். அவர்கள் காய்ந்த புல் நெருப்பில் எரிவதுபோன்று அழிவார்கள். அவர்களின் சந்ததி வேர் வாடி, தூசியைப்போல் பறந்துபோகும். அவர்கள் நெருப்பில் எரியும் பூக்களைப்போன்று எரிந்து, காற்றில் சாம்பல் பறப்பது போன்று ஆவார்கள். சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தருடைய போதனைகளுக்கு அடிபணிய அவர்கள் மறுத்துவிட்டனர். இஸ்ரவேலரின் பரிசுத்தமான தேவனிடமிருந்து வரும் செய்தியை அவர்கள் வெறுத்தனர்.

⁽ஆதலால், நெருப்புத் தணல்␢ வைக்கோலை எரித்துச்␢ சாம்பலாக்குவது போல,␢ காய்ந்த புல் தீக்கிரையாக்கித்␢ தீய்ந்து போவது போல,␢ அவர்கள் ஆணிவேர் அழுகிப்போகும்;␢ அவர்கள் வழிமரபு␢ துரும்புபோல் பறந்து போகும்;␢ ஏனெனில் அவர்கள்,␢ படைகளின் ஆண்டவரது␢ திருச்சட்டத்தைப் புறக்கணித்தார்கள்;␢ இஸ்ரயேலின் தூயவரது வாக்கை␢ வெறுத்துத் தள்ளினார்கள்.⁾
