இடுக்கணிலும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பிலுமிருந்து அவர் எடுக்கப்பட்டார்; அவருடைய வம்சத்தை யாரால் சொல்லி முடியும்; ஜீவனுள்ளோருடைய தேசத்திலிருந்து அறுப்புண்டு போனார்; என் ஜனத்தின் மீறுதலினிமித்தம் அவர் வாதிக்கப்பட்டார்.

துன்பத்திலும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பிலுமிருந்து அவர் எடுக்கப்பட்டார்; அவருடைய வம்சத்தை யாரால் சொல்லிமுடியும்; ஜீவனுள்ளோருடைய தேசத்திலிருந்து பிரிக்கப்பட்டார்; என் மக்களின் மீறுதலின்காரணமாக அவர் வாதிக்கப்பட்டார்.

மனிதர்கள் அவரைப் பலவந்தமாகப் பிடித்தனர், அவரை அவர்கள் நேர்மையாக நியாயந்தீர்க்கவில்லை. எவரும் அவரது எதிர்காலக் குடும்பத்தைப் பற்றி எதுவும் சொல்லவில்லை. ஏனென்றால், அவர் உயிரோடு வாழ்கிறவர்களின் நாட்டிலிருந்து பிரிக்கப்பட்டார். எனது ஜனங்களின் பாவங்களுக்காக அவர் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டார்.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who `among them’ considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke `was due’?
