“ஒரு பெண் பிரசவ வலியை உணர்வதற்கு முன்பு ஒரு குழந்தையைப் பெறமுடியாது. ஒரு பெண் தான் பெற்றெடுக்கும் குழந்தையைப் பார்க்கும்முன் அதற்குரிய வலியை உணரவேண்டும். அதைப்போலவே, எவரும் ஒரு புதிய நாடு ஒரே நாளில் பிறப்பதைக் காணமுடியாது. எவரும் ஒரு நாடு ஒரே நாளில் தோன்றியதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்க முடியாது. அந்த நாடு பிரசவ வலிபோன்று முதிலில் வலியை அறியவேண்டும். பிரசவ வலிக்குப் பிறகே, நாடு தன் பிள்ளையாகிய புதிய நாட்டைப் பெற்றெடுக்கும்.
