அக்காலத்திலே ஆண்டவர் கூலிக்குவாங்கின சவரகன் கத்தியினால், அதாவது, நதியின் அக்கரையிலுள்ள அசீரியா ராஜாவினால் தலைமயிரையும் கால்மயிரையும் சிரைப்பித்து தாடியையும் வாங்கிப்போடுவிப்பார்.

கர்த்தர் யூதாவைத் தண்டிக்க அசீரியாவைப் பயன்படுத்துவார். அசீரியா வாடகைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்ட சவரக்கத்தியைப் போலிருக்கும். கர்த்தர் யூதாவை தலையிலிருந்து கால்வரை சவரம் செய்து நீக்குவது போன்றிருக்கும். அது யூதாவின் தாடியை கர்த்தர் நீக்குவது போன்று இருக்கும்.
