ஏசாயா 8:22
அவர்கள் அண்ணாந்து பார்ப்பார்கள், பூமியையும் நோக்கிப் பார்ப்பார்கள்; ஆனாலும் இதோ, இக்கட்டும் அந்தகாரமும் இருக்கும்; இடுக்கத்தால் இருளடைந்து, அந்தகாரத்திலே தள்ளுண்டு அலைவார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அண்ணாந்துபார்ப்பார்கள், பூமியையும் நோக்கிப்பார்ப்பார்கள்; ஆனாலும் இதோ, இக்கட்டும் அந்தகாரமும் இருக்கும்; இடுக்கத்தால் இருளடைந்து, அந்தகாரத்திலே தள்ளாடி அலைவார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அந்த நாட்டில் தம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் பார்த்தால், துன்பத்தையும் கடும் இருளையும் காண்பார்கள். அத்துன்பமாகிய இருள் அவர்களை நாட்டை விட்டு வெளியேறச் செய்யும். அந்த இருள் வலைக்குள் சிக்கிக்கொண்டவர்கள் அதிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறமுடியாது.
