“ஏன் எனது பிரியமானவள் (யூதா) எனது வீட்டில் (ஆலயத்தில்) இருக்கிறாள்? அங்கே இருக்க அவளுக்கு உரிமை இல்லை. அவள் பல தீய செயல்களைச் செய்திருக்கிறாள். யூதாவே, சிறப்பான வாக்குறுதிகளும் மிருகபலிகளும் உன்னை அழிவிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றும் என்று நினைக்கிறாயா? எனக்குப் பலிகள் கொடுப்பதன் மூலம் தண்டனையிலிருந்து தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள முடியும் என்று நினைக்கிறாயா?”
