எந்தமட்டும் தேசம் புலம்பி, எல்லா வெளியின் புல்லும் வாடி, அதின் குடிகளுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் மிருகங்களும் பறவைகளும் அழியவேண்டும்! எங்கள் முடிவை அவன் காண்பதில்லையென்கிறார்கள்.

இந்தப் பூமி இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு வறண்டிருக்கும்? இந்தப் புல் நிலங்கள் இன்னும் எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்குக் காய்ந்து மடிந்திருக்கும்? இந்தப் பூமியிலுள்ள மிருகங்களும், பறவைகளும், செத்திருக்கின்றன. இது தீய ஜனங்களின் குற்றமாகும், எனினும் அத்தீய ஜனங்கள், “எரேமியா நமக்கு நிகழப்போவதைப் பார்க்க நீண்டகாலம் உயிர்வாழமாட்டான்” என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
