கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ போய் யூதாவின் ராஜாக்கள் வரத்தும்போக்குமாயிருக்கிற இந்த ஜனங்களின் புத்திரருடைய வாசலிலும் எருசலேமின் எல்லா வாசல்களிலும் நின்றுகொண்டு,

கர்த்தர் என்னிடம் இவற்றைச் சொன்னார்: “எரேமியா, யூதாவின் அரசர்கள் வந்துபோகிற எருசலேமின் ஜனங்கள் வாசலுக்குப்போய் நில். எனது வார்த்தையை ஜனங்களிடம் கூறு. பிறகு எருசலேமின் மற்ற வாசல்களுக்கும் போ. அதே செயலைச் செய்.”

ஆண்டவர் கூறியது இதுவே: நீ போய் யூதாவின் அரசர்களின் உள்ளே வருவதற்கும் வெளியே செல்வதற்கும் பயன்படும் பொதுமக்கள் வாயிலிலும் எருசலேமின் வாயில்கள் அனைத்திலும் நின்றுகொள்.⒫
