அந்த வேலை நடந்தேறாதபடிக்கு எங்கள் கை சலித்துப்போம் என்று சொல்லி, அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் எங்களைப் பயமுறுத்தப்பார்த்தார்கள். ஆதலால் தேவனே நீர் என் கைகளைத் திடப்படுத்தியருளும்,

நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னை இரட்சிப்பார்.

அவர்கள் சபித்தாலும், நீர் ஆசீர்வதியும்; அவர்கள் எழும்பினாலும் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போவார்களாக, உமது அடியானோ மகிழக்கடவன்.

ஆனாலும் நீதிமானைச் சோதித்தறிந்து, உள்ளிந்திரியங்களையும் இருதயத்தையும் பார்க்கிற சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, நீர் அவர்களுக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுகிறதைக் காண்பேனாக; என் காரியத்தை உம்மிடத்தில் சாட்டிவிட்டேன்.

என் சத்துருவே, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சந்தோஷப்படாதே; நான் விழுந்தாலும் எழுந்திருப்பேன்; நான் இருளிலே உட்கார்ந்தால் கர்த்தர் எனக்கு வெளிச்சமாயிருப்பார்.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது செவியைச் சாய்த்துக் கேளும்; கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உமது கண்களைத் திறந்துபாரும்; சனகெரிப் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனை நிந்திக்கும்படிக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பின வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளும்.

எங்கள் தேவனே, நாங்கள் அவமதிக்கப்படுகிறதைக் கேட்டு, அவர்கள் நிந்திக்கிற நிந்தையை அவர்கள் தலையின்மேல் திருப்பி, அவர்களைச் சிறையிருப்பின் தேசத்திலே சூறைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடும்.

தேவனே, எனக்கு இரங்கும்; மனுஷன் என்னை விழுங்கப்பார்க்கிறான், நாள்தோறும் போர்செய்து என்னை ஒடுக்குகிறான்.

தேவனே, என் விண்ணப்பத்தில் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டருளும்; சத்துருவால் வரும் பயத்தை நீக்கி, என் பிராணனைக் காத்தருளும்.

என் சிநேகத்துக்குப் பதிலாக என்னை விரோதிக்கிறார்கள், நானோ ஜெபம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.

அவர்களோ மூர்க்கவெறிகொண்டு, இயேசுவை என்ன செய்யலாமென்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஆலோசித்தார்கள்.
