அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கு மூப்பரும் தலைவருமானவர்கள் இன்னார் என்று நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறாயே, அந்த மூப்பரில் எழுபதுபேரைக் கூட்டி, அவர்களை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தினிடத்தில் அங்கே உன்னோடேகூட வந்து நிற்கும்படி செய்.

அவர்களை அவர் தப்பவிடாமல் உடையும்படி குயக்கலத்தை நொறுக்குவதுபோல அவர்களை நொறுக்குவார்; அடுப்பிலே நெருப்பு எடுக்கிறதற்கும், குளத்திலே தண்ணீர் மொள்ளுகிறதற்கும் நொறுங்கின துண்டுகளில், ஒரு ஓடாகிலும் அகப்படாதேபோம்.

நீ எழுந்து, குயவன் வீட்டிற்குப்போ; அங்கே என் வார்த்தைகளை உனக்குத் தெரிவிப்பேன் என்றார்.

ஐயோ! தங்கத்துக்கொப்பான விலையேறப்பெற்ற சீயோன் குமாரர் குயவனுடைய கைவேலையான மண்பாண்டங்களாய் எண்ணப்படுகிறார்களே.

இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரின் மூப்பரில் எழுபதுபேரும், அவர்களின் நடுவிலே சாப்பானுடைய குமாரனாகிய யசனியாவும், அவனவன் தன்தன் கையிலே தன்தன் தூபகலசத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவைகளுக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள், தூபவர்க்கத்தினால் மிகுந்த புகை எழும்பிற்று.

அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனாகிய எலியாக்கீமையும், சம்பிரதியாகிய செப்னாவையும், ஆசாரியர்களின் மூப்பரையும், ஆமோத்தின் குமாரனாகிய ஏசாயா என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினிடத்துக்கு இரட்டு உடுத்திக்கொண்டவர்களாக அனுப்பினான்.

அவர்களை வகுக்கிறபோது, இத்தாமாரின் புத்திரரைப்பார்க்கிலும் எலெயாசாரின் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே தலைமையானவர்கள் அதிகமானபேர் காணப்பட்டபடியினால், எலெயாசாரின் புத்திரரில் பதினாறுபேர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய குடும்பத்துக்கும், இத்தாமாரின் புத்திரரில் எட்டுப்பேர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய குடும்பத்துக்கும் தலைமையாக வைக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

உன்னோடேகூட வந்த மனுஷருடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்தக் கலசத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டு,

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீ முத்திரைபோடப்பட்ட கிரயப்பத்திரமும், திறந்திருக்கிற பிரதிபத்திரமுமாகிய இந்தச் சாசனங்களை வாங்கி, அவைகள் அநேகநாளிருக்கும்படிக்கு அவைகளை ஒரு மண்பாண்டத்திலே வை.

முதியோரையும், வாலிபரையும், கன்னிகைகளையும், குழந்தைகளையும், ஸ்திரீகளையும் சங்கரித்துக் கொன்றுபோடுங்கள்; அடையாளம் போடப்பட்டிருக்கிற ஒருவனையும் கிட்டாதிருங்கள் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே துவக்குங்கள் என்று என் காதுகள் கேட்கச் சொன்னார்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஆலயத்துக்கு முன்னே இருந்த மூப்பரிடத்தில் துவக்கம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது, பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரும், காய்பா என்னப்பட்ட பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய அரமனையிலே கூடிவந்து,

விடியற்காலமானபோது, சகல பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரும், இயேசுவைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி, அவருக்கு விரோதமாக ஆலோசனைபண்ணி,

அப்படியே பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் மூப்பரும் பரியாசம்பண்ணி:

மறுநாளிலே ஜனங்களுடைய அதிகாΰிகளும் மூப்பரும் வேதபாரகரும்,

இந்த மகத்துவமுள்ள வல்லமை எங்களால் உண்டாயிராமல், தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறதென்று விளங்கும்படி, இந்தப் பொக்கிஷத்தை மண்பாண்டங்களில் பெற்றிருக்கிறோம்.

தேசத்திலே மூப்பானவர்களில் சிலர் எழும்பி சபையாகிய ஜனங்களை நோக்கி:
