அவர்கள் என்னை விட்டுவிட்டு, இந்த ஸ்தலத்தை அந்நிய ஸ்தலமாக்கி, தாங்களும், தங்கள் பிதாக்களும், யூதாவின் ராஜாக்களும், அறியாதிருந்த அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்கு அதிலே தூபங்காட்டி, இந்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் குற்றமில்லாதவர்களின் இரத்தத்தினாலே நிரப்பினபடியினாலும்,

நான் இவற்றைச் செய்வேன். ஏனென்றால் யூதாவின் ஜனங்கள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுவதை விட்டுவிட்டனர். அவர்கள் இந்த இடத்தை அயல்நாட்டுத் தெய்வங்களுக்கு உரியதாகச் செய்துவிட்டனர். அவர்கள் இந்த இடத்தில் வேறு தெய்வங்களுக்குத் தகனபலிகளை அளித்தனர். நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பு அந்தத் தெய்வங்களைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளவில்லை. அவர்களின் முற்பிதாக்களும் அத்தெய்வங்களைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளவில்லை. இவை அந்நிய நாடுகளிலிருந்து வந்தப் புதிய தெய்வங்கள். யூதாவின் அரசர்கள் ஒன்றுமறியாத குழந்தைகளின் இரத்தத்தால் இந்த இடத்தை நிரப்புகிறார்கள்.
