நான் இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து, கல்தேயர் தேசத்துக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போகவிட்ட யூதரை நான் இந்த நல்ல அத்திப்பழங்களுக்கு ஒப்பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாக அவர்களை அங்கிகரிப்பேன்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கூறினார், “யூதாவின் ஜனங்கள் அவர்களின் நாட்டிலிருந்து எடுத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் பகைவர்கள் அவர்களைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டு வந்தனர். அந்த ஜனங்கள் இந்த நல்ல அத்திப்பழங்களைப் போன்றவர்கள். நான் அந்த ஜனங்களிடம் இரக்கத்துடன் இருப்பேன்.

இஸ்ரயேலின் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே; யூதாவிலிருந்து நாடு கடத்தப்பட்டவர்கள், அதாவது இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து நான் கல்தேயரின் நாட்டுக்கு அனுப்பியிருப்பவர்கள் இந்த நல்ல அத்திப் பழங்களைப் போன்றவர்கள். அவர்களை நான் நல்லவர்களாகக் கருதுகிறேன்.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
