யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவின் நாட்களில் மொரேசா ஊரானாகிய மீகா தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லி, யூதாவின் சகல ஜனங்களையும் பார்த்து: சீயோன் வயல்வெளியாக உழப்பட்டு, எருசலேம் மண்மேடுகளாய்ப்போம்; இந்த ஆலயத்தின் பர்வதம் காட்டிலுள்ள மேடுகளாய்ப்போம் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைத்தார் என்று சொன்னான்.

அவர்கள், “மொரேசா நகரிலிருந்து மீகா என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசி வந்தான். யூதாவின் அரசனாக எசேக்கியா இருந்த காலத்தில், மீகா தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தான். யூதாவிலுள்ள அனைத்து ஜனங்களிடமும் மீகா இச்செய்திகளைக் கூறினான். ‘சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார்: “‘சீயோன் அழிக்கப்படும். அது உழப்பட்ட வயல்போன்று ஆகும். எருசலேம் பாறைகளின் குவியலாகும். ஆலயம் இருக்கிற குன்றானது புதர்கள் மூடின ஒரு காலி குன்றாகும்.’

“யூதாவின் அரசரான எசேக்கியாவின் காலத்தில் மோரசேத்தைச் சார்ந்த மீக்கா இறைவாக்கு உரைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் யூதா மக்கள் எல்லாரையும் நோக்கி, ‘படைகளின் ஆண்டவர் கூறுவது இதுவே: வயல்வெளியைப் போல் சீயோன் உழப்படும்; எருசலேம் பாழடைந்து மண்மேடாக மாறும். கோவில் உள்ள மலையோ அடர்ந்த காடாகும்,’ என்று சொன்னார்.
