ஆனாலும் எந்த ஜாதி தன் கழுத்தைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் நுகத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, அவனைச் சேவிக்குமோ, அந்த ஜாதியைத் தன் தேசத்தைப் பயிரிட்டு, அதிலே குடியிருந்து தாபரிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

“‘ஆனால் பாபிலோன் அரசனின் நுகத்திற்குள் தங்கள் கழுத்தை மாட்டிக்கொண்டு அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிபவர்களாக வாழ்வர். நான் அந்நாட்டாரைத் தங்கள் சொந்த நாட்டிலேயே இருந்து பாபிலோன் அரசனுக்கு சேவைசெய்யச் செய்வேன்’ இந்த வார்த்தை கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து வந்தது. ‘அந்நாடுகளில் உள்ள ஜனங்கள் தம் சொந்த நாட்டில் வாழ்ந்து பயிர் செய்வார்கள்.’”
